Acton. You can stay connected with your friends using this app. This app will
let you send messages and media files like audio, video and document to your

I think this app needs no more introduction than this. Cause
it is the most popular chatting app of these days. It is available for Android,
I OS, and Windows and also for some other smart phones also now days.
Whatsapp has bit more interesting things and instead of only
chatting which mainly focus on privacy. Here in this article we are going to
learn all those tips and tricks.
List of whatsapp tricks for 2016
- Hide last seen
This feature will let you hide your last
active time on your whatsapp account. It is very useful feature in some cases.
How:-
To hide your last seen time, all you need
to do is go to Setting > Account > Privacy > Last Seen and then
set it to Nobody so that nobody can see your last active time. You can
also this set this to Contacts only to share last seen time with your contacts
only.
- Backup Chat History
If you don’t want to lose your chat data,
this feature is going to help you in this case. It is also useful if you’re
uninstalling whatsapp to install it later, you can get back your previous
messages with this backup.
How:-
To back up your chat, just go to Settings
> Chat > Backup and this will creat a new backup file in your
whatsapp folder.
- Add Conversation Shortcut
It is like setting up an icon of any app on
home screen of your phone to quickly launch it. But we are not going to setup
an app icon. What we are going to do is simply setup an icon for nay whatsapp
chat on our home screen to open and chat easily.
How:-
To do so, just touch and
hold any chat for 3 seconds to open options, and then click on Add chat
shortcut option. Now you will see that friend’s conversation icon on home
screen.

- Stop images from being appearing in gallery
Yeah, I know you can lock your whatsapp to
make it secure. But what will you do to those images which appear in your
gallery. Here is the cure. You can stop all images from being appearing in
gallery, just by creating a file in Whatsapp Images folder.
How:-
To make it work, we gonna use an app named ES
File Explorer which gives us ability to create any type of file. This app is
available in Play Store. Open ES file explorer, Go to Whatsapp Images folder
and click on options button then New > File. Now you need to create a
new file with .nomedia name.
- See When your friend see your message
You have sent a message to your friend and
now you want to know the time when your message is being read by your friend.
With this cool feature, you can see that time.
How:-
To check the message seen time, just click
and hold long the message of you wants to check seen time and then click on
Info icon.
- Disable Blue Message Seen Status
Wants to prevent from above trick, use this
option which gonna help you to disable that message seen status option. You can
gather if your message is seen or not just by a blue right arrow icon appear at
the end of message. You can hide your massage seen status with this trick.
How:-
Go to Settings > Account > Privacy and
then disable Read receipts option.

- Bold or Italic any text
To make your text more important and eye
catching you can make your text massage bold or italic. It’s not easy as it is
in MS word software to make text bold or italic.
How: -
To do same in whatsapp, just follow
formats. Use *text* format to make it bold and _text_ to make it
italic. In both above formats, replace text with your message.

- Disable auto-download
Now this is what makes me feel frustrated
after installing. Auto- Download feature, download all files like photos,
videos etc. from chats automatically without your knowledge. And this is what
cost your much data.
How: -
To disable this auto-download option and save
data usage, Go to Settings > Data Usage and then disable all
auto-download files.
- Broadcast
To send a message to many contacts without
creating a group, you can use new broadcast feature available in app. This
feature will help you in sending any message to many contacts at one time
without creating group.
How:-

Open WhatsApp

Click on Options button.

Click on New Broadcast option.

Select friends to whom you want to send massage
from list.

Type and Send your message.
- Star Important Messages.
Suppose, your friend sent you an address and
you wants to keep it for long time. Now it’s not easy to locate that address
from lots of massages. To make any message easy to locate you can use starred
massage feature. This option will mark any message with a star and you can see these
messages by going to starred messages option.
How:-
To
mark any message with star, Touch and hold the message and then click on star
icon from options.
- Hide profile picture and status
Privacy is most important thing today.
Anyone can see your profile picture and status by entering your phone number in
their contacts. So here is a way to hide your profile and status or to make its
privacy very limited.
How: -
For this, Go to Settings > Account >
Privacy >Profile Picture or Status and these options to Nobody if
you want to hide this from everyone or set this My Contacts only if you
want to make it seen by your contacts only.
- Mute Group Chat
Bothered of always getting notifications of
x numbers of messages are unread. It always happens in case of groups only.
Sometimes it freezes our phones because of flood of huge number of messages.
Now we can stop or mute our group chat temporarily.
How:-
To mute group chat, Touch and hold group
for 2 seconds and then click on mute group chat option. You can set this to any
number of hours or time.
- Custom Notification
WhatsApp gives us notifications of new
massages of any contact with same tone or options. We can customize this using
Custom Notification option. We can set vibration, tone, light to notification
using this feature.
How:-
To do this, Go to any contact in whatsapp
and then click on custom notification option. It is disabled by default, you
can enable this.

- Use two whatsapp accounts in one smart phone
Yes, you heard right. You can use two
accounts in same phone using Parallel Space app. This is free app available on
Play Store.
How:-

Install the Parallel Space app from Play store

Open app and then choose Whatsapp from the list

Now it will create clone of app.

You can use whatsapp in parallel space app.
