compiled a list of some best hacking tools for windows, linux
and other OSes as well.
Hacking tools use by both types of hackers, Ethical Hackers as well as Black Hat Hackers. But their objectives are not same like ethical hackers or penetration testers use these tools to test and evaluate system security, on the other hand black hat hackers use these tools for malicious purposes like stealing, malware or whatever.
This is a list of some must have hacking tools, because every successful penetration test or hack require a good set of hacking tools. Some, tools available in both Command Line and GUI.

Actually it is not tool, Its an operating system specially designed for penetration testing and digital forensics developed by Offensive Security. Also known as Network Mapper. Helps in scanning phase. This tools is well known for Port Scanning. It is available in both graphical and command line version. You need Java to run it. It has also some other features like decoder, sequencer, intruder, spidering etc.
Metasploit
Off Course, We can not complete our list without this tool. Metasploit is vulnerability exploitation tools contains many exploits and payloads for nearly every operating system. It is available in both free and paid version. This tools is quite famous in hackers and used to exploit any particular vulnerability in system. It comes pre installed in kali linux and you can download it freely from Rapid 7 website.
John The Ripper
John The Ripper is quite famous password cracking tool available in kali linux and for other platforms. You can use dictionary, brute force and rainbow tables attack to crack password using this tool. Again it is open source and free to download. It uses every combination of words and characters to crack even more complex passwords.
SET (Social Engineering Tool)
Social Engineering made easy using this great tool. This tool named SET is specially for social engineering attacks.
